Gorgeous. They didn't disappoint me. It's not quite Hospice level but it's a beautiful dream pop record.
How'd you even acquire this?

It leaked. Ethics don't count when we're talking about the band responsible for Hospice :P

The Movements Like Elephants 1 (2013)

Swedish garage/psych/space rock. A few songs remind me of a mix of Jefferson Airplane & the Seeds; others add a Hawkwind vibe. Their new album was just released last month & I'm hoping to get it in soon.

V/A New York City Salsa (2012)

Double CD of many terrific Latin artists during the '70s on the Fania label. A really upbeat, joyous collection that I could listen to all day.

Yes wovenhand is great and yes they've made another splendid album. Top 10 of the year so far imo

Nice, do you have the actual album or did you just listen to the Pitchfork stream? If it's the former can you share?

Really digging Hozier's two EP's right now, Take Me To Church and From Eden. He's singer-songwriterish but his vocals are so soulful. Love it.

Wovenhand - Refractory Obdurate (2014)

I guess 2012's The Laughing Stalk was a primer album for what is effectively a completely different sound. Actually, it retains the spirit of David Eugene Edwards' side project, with various acoustic folk instruments, however there's distortion in all it's distorted glory. It's the most interesting album DEE has done since 16 Horsepower and finally gives him a chance to unleash his inner Joy Division fanboy.

I would highly recommend this album to anyone and everyone.

Todd Terje It's Album Time (2014)

Mostly instrumental electronic/disco/funk. Think a mix of Daft Punk, Nile Rogers and Giorgio Moroder. Favorite tracks: guest vocalist Bryan Ferry's take on Robert Palmer's ""Johnny and Mary" and the funk/lounge Latin-rhythm tinged "Alfonso Muskedunder".
