Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports

I've always loved this album but I'm pretty stressed out and this is just what I needed.

The Dodos - Beware of the Maniacs

I love this so much right now. Not sure why I never checked them out before... glad I finally did it.

Killing Joke - Hosannas From The Basements of Hell (2006)

I really can't get over how goddamn heavy this album is. Despite being in his mid '40's at time of recording Jaz manages to get to some vocal depths that should just not be doable by anything other than post production manipulation. This is also my go-to example of an album where each track is long, but it doesn't feel like it because it maintains the momentum. It almost feels hypnotic, especially when you take into consideration the moderate tempo groove and huge wall of sound the band produces. A lot of people say the production on this album is the weakest, but honestly I'd say it captures the feeling of swirling anger and frustration perfectly and makes it impossible not to get caught up in.

If you're in the mood for something muddy, dirty, thought provoking, and sometimes beautiful, I cannot recommend this album enough.

Daughters - S/T

Essential grindcore. Not a bad track on the whole thing. It's awesome

That's my next listen after I give this thing another couple swings. My friend has been listening to them for years and only now do I grow to appreciate them. I'm weird.
