Mount Eerie - Sauna

Really enjoying this. A very welcome piece of the puzzle to Phil Elverum's body of work.

Just really nice ambient, apparently "inspired by Icelandic music". I think there's a ton of people here that would like it, Ninetales in particular sprang to mind as I listened
cool cool will listen thanks dawg

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing.....

I've never been able to get into hip-hop or rap for the most part, but damn. I'm really, really loving this on my first listen.

Earthless - Sonic Prayer (2005)
I grabbed this album and their second album Rhythms From a Cosmic Sky together but I'm playing this one more. The album consists of two tracks both just over 20 minutes each. It's basically just an all-out psychedelic guitar assault, 41 minutes of jamming and soloing that never feels boring or aimless. It sounds amazing cranked up loud.

A$AP Rocky - LiveLoveAsap (2011)

The combination of A$AP and these beats is just perfect. Still one of the best Mixtapes I have ever heard.

Ultimate Painting - Ultimate Painting (2014)
I've really been enjoying this jangly/indie pop album the last few days. The band is out of England, featuring one of the guys from Veronica Falls which I don't think I've ever listened to. I saw them tagged as twee when I first heard of them, and dismissed them. This is not twee, it reminds me of bands such as The Moles, The Feelies, and The Bats. Very Australian sounding at times, Dunedin Sound they call it apparently. Just a great album.

This particular song really reminded me of The Moles:

Another stand-out:

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Sleater-Kinney - The Woods

Absolutely enjoying every inch of this.

Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped

This as well.

Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy

but above all, I'm enjoying this more than any record I've heard in recent memory.

Africa Express - Terry Riley's In C Mali

This group reinvents the classic minimalist piece using African instruments such as calabashes, kalimbas, djembes, and balafons along with some other more conventional instruments. It's also got Brian Eno on vocals, Damon Albarn on melodica, and Nick Zinner and Jeff Wootton on guitars. It's a great rendition of the piece in honor of its 50th anniversary. The only bad thing about it is that it's only 40 minutes long while most performances go on for an hour.

Francis Dhomont - Forêt profonde (1996)
I stumbled into this album a couple of weeks ago. I figured it was gonna be fairly standard musique concrete because of all the... Frenchiness (plus the music through which I found it). There's definitely the characteristic sound, but even though it came from a 70-year-old Frenchman, I was surprised by its relative freshness. Despite the approach, there are moments that wouldn't necessarily sound out of place in the soundtrack to an indie game. Based on what I've read about the album on further investigation, there's also a lot of literary and formal depths that I haven't even begun to dig into.

I already love every Type O Negative album to death but I'm listening to Life Is Killing Me again and am remembering it's greatness. Reminds me so much of the Beatles.
