Asaf Avidan - Gold Shadow (2015)

Folk tinged singer songwriter album, with plenty of soul and a dash of country. My album of the year thus far.

Fear Fun was very polarizing to me - it contained a few really great songs, some mediocre, and some absolute crap. I feared for this new one, wondering if he'd go in the direction of the songs I liked from Fear Fun, or the ones I didn't like. I heard 2-3 songs from it at a record store last weekend, and they sounded pretty boring unfortunately. I'll still listen to it, my girlfriend ordered the deluxe vinyl edition (we know the artist) so we'll see soon enough. She ordered late and we won't have it for another few weeks.
