Frost* - Falling Satellites (2016)

Jem Godfrey is an amazing producer and keyboardist. Some of you might remember Milliontown by this group from back in 2006, arguably the best progressive record of the last 15 years. Some very proggy-pop crossover material can be found here as well, including cool trap beat inspired sequences on tracks like 'Towerblock'. Highly recommended.

Blind Mr. Jones - Stereo Musicale (1992)

Reacquainting myself with this flute-laden shoegaze classic. Pretty "out there" for '92.

Tim Buckley - Starsailor

Probably going to be an all time favourite album of mine. Avant-garde rock with jazz, classical, and folk influences. Some of the album sounds like a toned down Mahavishnu Orchestra with Jim Morrisson on vocals and others range from sultry jazz folk to atonal tape madness. This ones been getting a lot of spins lately.

Tim Hecker - Love Streams

Absolutely gorgeous, what did you expect? I especially like the bass clarinet on this one.

Obscura - Cosmogenesis

The album cover told me no, but the Gorguts band name finally made me check these guys out. Some ****ing great and relentless death metal here. Much pleased.

I broke out these two albums tonight. Haven't spun them for more than decade, and oh how they were a trip down memory lane! I know a lot of people find Elton John corny--hell I do, too!--but he is, in my opinion, an amazing songwriter. These two (and his first album) are my favorite Elton John albums, and it was ****ing fun listening to these with Kedvesem and singing along with all we had!

Absolutely amazing good time! I haven't thought about these albums in ages, but Goodbye Yellow Brick Road [sic] especially has a place in my heart that no other album can ever have. Something that can only happen once...
