Jazzheads REJOICE! Nels will save us all.
Love me some Nels when he's not Wilco-ing, but I can't get into this album, it's just soooooo dull. I understand the appeal of making some more laid back jazz, but I don't think it has to be that boring, Nels. Stick to the style that The Veil had because it's way better.

Sons of Kemet - Lest We Forget What We Came Here to Do

Some groovetastic jams on this album. Their horn player is so Ken Vandermark-esque that I was positive that it was him until I researched it. Fans of Shaolin Afronauts will probably eat this up.

You're silly, this is one of the best records Nels has ever been apart of. I do love me some Veil at least once or twice a year.

Taking it back, pre-9/11.

For Dino Jr. fans, it's worth the money. It's not as good as their last album IMO, but their last album was great as well. I've already heard six of their albums. I should get to the other five soon.

Battles - Mirrored

The records I turned down a few years ago really astonish me nowadays.
