Tags are "dark ambient, neoclassical, ethereal". I'd agree.

Trying to knock out my 2016 playlist and I found this during that process.

Warehouse - super low

Like Hole but if they had a heavy 70s influence and didn't suck.

Ulver | The Assassination of Julius Caesar (2017)

I'm not sure why I'm surprised to say "Ulver has done it again" at this point. They've gone from black metal to folk to electronic to progressive rock to drone to art rock, so it should come to no surprise that their next full length studio album should be synth pop. Each time they change their musical stylings they always make it sound as if they've been doing that genre since the start of their career, and The Assassination of Julius Caesar is no different. Make no mistake though, synth pop this may be, but it's Ulver's unique spin on it. Two songs go over the 5 minute mark and feature the crazy dissonant sounds from their last two albums, and yet it doesn't feel out of place or perfunctory.

Definitely a must listen for anybody who enjoys Duran Duran and Depeche Mode

The next Ulver album will be hip-hop.

Melanin 9 - Magna Carta

God damn man, this is easily amongst the best UK hip-hop albums I've ever heard. abstract, jazzy, lyrically on point, all in all just a great listen. listening to him is similar to listening to Milo or Billy Woods, because I feel it's necessary to have a lyric sheet on hand to understand the power of what he's actually saying. great album.

I have a feeling I've heard this before--I've at least seen the cover. Still, sold.
