Szun Waves
At Sacred Walls

Pretty interesting avant-garde rock with heavy electronic and jazz influences thrown in.

Confusion is Sex is one of my most life-changing records. I've listened to it many, many times.

They're pretty consistent throughout all of their albums.

Finally a debut, released today, from Nan Kolé who's done a lot to push gqom the past couple of years
(even tho it's been popular in Durban for about 5 years). It's only an EP - basically two short tunes with
2 remixes of one of them, but we can hope for more (soon?).

Nan Kolé - Malumz

Just listening to gqom oh! compilation

Exciting music

I searched around YouTube I wanted to find something that wasn't just audio and came up with this. To me, it's a refreshing look at South African culture. Not the same story I've become accustomed to, fortunately. It's cool.

Autopsy - Mental Funeral (1991)
The first two Autopsy albums make me feel filthy and grubby. Severed Survival is nearly just as good, but this album is fast becoming one of my favourite death metal albums.

Kendrick Lamar - Damn.

Coming back to DAMN was probably the smartest decision I've made in months. At first it was tough to connect to the project due to what Kendrick's done in the past 6 years, but really honestly this might not be another TPAB or Good Kid, but godDAMN this is some serious banger shit that ranks high in the best albums of the year thus far. Not to mention that Bono cameo goes over surprisingly well.

I checked it out again sometime last week and felt the same way I did about it as before. I still think that DNA and Humble are great tracks, XXX was not as bad as I was expecting (even though I'm still not into it), and the rest of the album can be used for compost.
