I'm not sure why but The Stargazer's Journey has become his record I'm the most familiar with. He may be actually getting better. The Sentinel is one of my favorite 2017 releases.

I've been loving Stiftelsen's Ljungaverk album.

One of the songs popped up on a Spotify radio playlist (based on Stone Sour, not quite sure how it ended up there)

It's a decent album though. They are billed as a Swedish pop rock band, but I don't like the term pop-rock.

Songs of choice:

Vart jag an gar
Ur Balans

Great albums. I've got almost everything he's done....his music has definitely become more abstract in some ways since the early 00's. His interstellar romance stuff (Midsummer Century, Ixlandia, etc.) is cheesy but very very good.

I sometimes think that one album is the best album either of them did. There's something special about it I don't hear in a lot of other ambient music.

Hell yeah... It's the kinda thing I listened too when I was like 15, but it still sounds good years later.

Amnesia Scanner - AS Truth (2017) [Mixtape]

Somehow I let this one pass me by for the past few months. But it's pretty killer. Post-Industrial mixed with a bit of Bass.
