I'm such a fan of this German band put have precious little by them. I guess you could call them modern Krautrock and this album doesn't disappoint. The electronic influence is a little more heightened on this album compared some of the other stuff I have which is a little more Hawkwind-esque but it's still damn good.

It sat on my hardrive without much action for quite a while. I think I didn't like it at first, because, from the way it was being hyped I was expecting a bit more of a hip-hop influence. Started diggin on it hard bout a week ago and now I can't stop listening to it. Yoni is a twisted genius and an amazing songwriter.

Yeah Yoni's pretty much the shit. Sometimes I feel like a one man WHY? hype machine on this site, but I'm glad to hear you like it! Elephant Eyelash is just as amazing lyrically.. without nearly as much 'sort of is, sort of isn't' genre mixing. I'd suggest checking it out if you haven't already.

Iv'e checked out all their albums in bits and pieces. I think besides Alopecia I think i'm diggin' into Oaklanazulasylum the most. I think Elephant Eyelash has to grow on me a bit.

I'm a big fan of Oaklandazulasylum myself... it's just got something the rest of the albums don't even touch on, I'd consider it to be in a league of its own really.

Went on to listen to some other great stuff last night... namely the fantastic Accelerate by REM, and went on a fun trip down memory lane with Life Is Killing Me by Type O Negative.... darn good fun.
