Yeah the first REs were similar, though IIRC were a bit quieter in general due to the different nature between the games?

I love the "UK-rock-meets-Boards-of-Canada" side of Radiohead, so I guess I'll go with Kid A and then The Bends and Amnesiac.
It kinda sucks that I already have two of their albums though. I bought OK Computer because it was the best rated, and Pablo Honey because a friend recommended it (it's good! it has Creep !... bleh ¬_¬). I would've had all their albums except In Rainbows and I would've saved a bunch of money... Too bad you can't get a refund on CDs (obviously).

The Bends is actually my favorite album by them, but Kid A is probably the more experimental, artistic one. Both of them are great and Ok Computer as well, so it doesn't matter that much which ones you start with. I still have to get Amnesiac, In Rainbows, and Pablo Honey though.

Every Time I Die "New Junk Aesthetic"
The band's newest released and exactly what I've wanted to hear from them. They drop a lot of the more melodic bits of their past two releases and reach back to their earlier material for that fast-paced, no frills rawness while not venturing too far into metal territory. Some of the most satisfying hardcore punk I've heard in a long time. Especially excellent vocal performances.

One of the best songs I've heard this year.

THis was one of those serendipitous accidents. I was hunting around the itunes store kinda' peekin' out for a nice mellow solo classical piano album to get ahold of when I decided: **** it. I'm just gonna' try to hunt down a decent copy of Chopin's Nocturnes which I've been unsuccessful at doing countless times. I found a decent file and while I was waiting for it to download I went back to itunes to see what was the most popular release of chopin's perennial work. In my search I happened to stumble onto Jacques Loussier's Impressions on Chopin's Nocturnes, which is a jazz interpretation of all 21 of Chopin's Nocturnes. I previewed a few tracks and was like "this is ****ing amazing. I'm gonna' have to hunt this down sometime." Meanwhile my file had finished downloading and as I opened it crossing my fingers that a 77 mb file was gonna give me the comprehensive nocturnes canon, I quickly realized that I had just downloaded Loussier's album. WTF? It's really every bit as amazing as I thought it would be. Anyone wanting to take a chance and venture out of the comfort zone give me a shout and I'll gladly sort you out.
