^ This things rocking my socks at the moment. Some of the smoothest, grooviest jazz I've heard in a while, and definitely among the finds of the year for me (and, funnily enough, the last few weeks have been full of them).

been working lately and having stuff on in t'background, in partic.:

monster. They should remaster this properly with no crappy extra tracks and sell it for a fiver. The 'no future' bit to 'God Save the Queen' is like a time machine. Somebody recently told me that 'Liar' was filler... whaaat?

It's not bad, Mustaine playing to his strengths and the new guitarist is immense but... feels like a cut-rate version of Peace Sells

'Sophia's Song' gives ya the shivers, i wish the bloke wouldn't bother singing but he's not too offensive. Also great for sleepytime playlists. Had no idea what to expect going in, always thought they were a darkwave band

One of my favourite jazz albums, really upbeat with some smooth moments intertwined. I love jazz but I know very little about the different classifications, despite having a collection of around 30/40 jazz albums. The subtle classifications can be quite intimidating, but I believe this is avant-garde, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm definitely going to learn more about jazz in the future as it's always been one of my favourite genres, hopefully I can delve a little deeper. Surely there's a thread for that around here!

Loved it to be honest. Quite heavy indeed. Reminds me a bit of Seasons with some Christ Illusion mixed in.

I agree yes, one of my favourite albums of 2009. Recommended to my on here by musicphantom13, big shout out! Beautiful album, simple yet effective and a great album for this season I feel.
