Besides this being the coolest album cover ever, it has some damn good samba.

Put this in for the first time in a long while last night. Then listening to it again now.
Usually I'm not a fan of live albums just because of the sound, but Phil Anselmo's banter on here between songs, and the way he gets the crowd involved makes this a really fun listen. And of course the songs are all totally solid as well.
Plus it reminds me of high school football where we'd get pumped blasting this in the locker room before every game.

I've been a fan of Pantera for a while...this looks amazingly interesting. Must check out.

This is amazing. I tend to shy away from stuff with the post rock label these days, because a lot of it bores me, but I'm sorry I'm so late to this one.

I like this too. Thing with the post-rock tag is that it covers so much. From Tortoise to Mogwai to this, all very different bands. True that a lot of it can be boring regardless which end of the spectrum they belong to, and lucky these guys aren't. Haven't played them in a while.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Mr Cooper - What Else There Is

beautiful electronic stuff, quite unlike anything i've ever heard. every track uses a lot of droning, ambient sounds to bring the music across either in waves, or as one steady stream. in this respect it reminds me more of post rock than anything else. if i had to compare it to something, i'd say Saltillo, but it's a lot subtler.

Tunturia - Maps

very pleasant post rock. not nearly as morose and pretentious as most of the stuff out there. some of the tracks are even cheerful.

Blue Foundation - Life Of A Ghost

one of the best trip hop albums in my collection. all their albums are outstanding, but this one has the most 5-star tracks. i'm still amazed that they're not very widely known...

LUV MACHINE - S/T (1971)

I downloaded this a long time ago after reading Molecules' review and instantly liked it but only recently have i started to really get into it. Fantastic blues record with a little psychedelic rock thrown into the mix. Theres no point me reviewing it though really, have this http://www.musicbanter.com/prog-psyc...tml#post604174

Oddly enough I got both of those a few days ago on my current downloading spree. I've just been grabbing up everything that looks relatively interesting in an attempt to find lots of good stuff before I leave.

And Blue Foundation is sick, I'm with you on that one. I would expect them to be at least as popular as some of the slightly lesser known but still popular trip hop stuff like Telepopmusik and Blockhead.
