Scott Walker - And Who Shall Go To the Ball? And What Shall Go To the Ball?

^ His 2007 avante-classical EP that I discovered the existence of only a few days ago. It sounds a bit like the Drift, only entirely instrumental of course. Good, pretty damn strange stuff.

V/A - I'm Your Man OST

^ A tribute album to Mr. Cohen which, despite the title, has a tracklisting that spans across the man's whole career. The absolute peak of it's definitely Nick Cave's beautiful version of Suzanne (which, to be honest, is the main reason I got this), but there are other great contributions from Jarvis Cocker, Martha Wainwright, the McGarrigle sisters and so on.

Wilco-Kicking Television
Perfect soundtrack to LONG bus journeys,and you appreciate how good the A Ghost Is Born material is all the more afterwards.

I've been listening to this lately - it's Fripp, Barry Andrews and Sara Lee (funny name I know) doing danceable new wave/pop. In all honesty it is rather patchy and was probably intended to be more of a s[color=black]hits and giggles jam than a serious studio recording, but songs like the one below are fun.

I particularly liked this video - like their earlier work, it too gives me the whole "wtf this sounds like no band i've ever heard but it's awesome" vibe. Definitely gonna check this out.

I just finished with her first album with Gang of Four, "Songs for the Free", which is my second fav LP from those commie bastards. She injects much more of a funk beat into the group and it works very well with Andy Gill's groovy James Brown rhythm work. There's a lot of great stuff on it like the brooding "History of the World", but "Muscle For Brains" has been embedded in my cranium for the last several days.

Whipping Boy-Whipping Boy
Heartworm is possibly the best album ever made.But this shouldn't be overlooked as a worthy addition to their all-too-small discography and a stunning piece of indie rock in it's own right.

Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport

Shot straight to being one of my favourites this year. I think people are a bit divided over them here because of the background distortion but thats toned down a bit here, the music concentrates more on the beats and its so easy to get absorbed into. I would happily recommend it to anyone here.
