Sufjan Stevens- A Sun Came
Good album, though pretty hit or miss. Standouts include We Are What You Say, A Winner Needs a Wand, A Loverless Bed (Without Remission), and Jason. The last song on the album is awful though, it's actually painful to listen to.

^ Ah yes that was quite the album last year, but I've learned that whenever Shpongle put out an album it's going to be good

Stolen Babies - There Be Squabbles Ahead

Heh where to start... well lets see... this is like... prog-pop-cabaret-thrash-quirky-goth-metal. Totally unlike anything I've ever heard before, yet warmly familiar. The female singer is also incredibly attractive, even with the face paint... plus she plays the accordion! How many girls can say that?

Anyways if you like Diablo Swing Orchestra, Mr. Bungle, or just Avant-Garde music in general then you owe it to yourself to check out Stolen Babies.

Elvium - An Accidental Memory in the Case of Death

I downloaded this on a whim and fell in love with it.

MBV and Jesu are, of course, essential listening - so far, I haven't given Brainiac the time of day. I probably should.

Here's something I've been listening to on the daily lately..
A Heap of Broken Images by Blue Sky Black Death

Oh god where do I start with this thing?
It's like a middle eastern street musician discovered electronic music and psychedelics. Good stuff. The only other Shpongle I've heard is 'Tales of the Inexpressible', but this beats it by a mile.
are you sphongled? is my favorite...great great album...if you like them check out his other side project hallucinogen

I've had it barely twelve hours and I already love it.
That album is a permanant fixture in my ever-changing top-10 favourites. It's perfect from start to finish.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I fucking love this album. Every time I listen to it I'm reminded that I fucking love this album. And that it sucks they broke up.
So I guess I should listen to this, huh?
