Good to hear I've spread the word successfully I've given the album a few listens by now, and it's definitely a top-class piece of work. If you could do with some linkness, give me a shout sometime eh.

MGMT - Congratulations

I really like there second album. It's so hard to compare it to Oracular. There is no real single on the album, but each song is unique in it's own way. After there success with Oracular Spectacular I think they realized they had more room for experimentation the result was this album. It's great.

Drudkh's third classic and maybe their best. "Blood in our Wells" is very warm and heart-felt for a black metal record. Exquisite melodies and some guitar shredding.

My Morning Jacket-Evil Urges
The odd poor track, but on the whole a pretty nifty album of Americana/indie, even if reviews proclaiming My Morning Jacket as the best band in America at the time it was released are a tad hyperbolic.

Evil Urges is probably one of their weaker albums. Z or It Still Moves FTW.

Three Mile Pilot - Nà Vuccà Dò Lupù (1992)

San Diego indie rock with bass (guitar) so heavy and prominent you feel like you're under water or at least far out in the turbulant and foggy Pacific. No electric guitar here...just bass, drums, various other instruments here and there, and vocals. From the band that spawned The Black Heart Procession (they got the vocals and keys) and Pinback (they got the bass). Epic shit, they really set a mood you can visualize.

This was the first of 3 albums they released in the 90s. They've since regrouped and recorded a new album (a 7" was released last year) that will go on pre-sale August 1st.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Movie Star Junkies - Melvin

Pleasantly surprised seeing as it was a band I didn't know, a label I wasn't familiar with, and involved an indiscernible mish mash of genres. Great stuff though.
