I swear, this is a brilliant album from start to finish, just brilliant!

The Verses - Seasons

Great debut album from the former Killing Heidi founding members Ella and Jesse Hooper. This isn't Alt. Rock, like Killing Heidi was, this is full on acoustic/blues with hints of folk here and there, this is one fantastic return for the brother and sister.

It is indeed great, I can't believe I had never heard it before. Do you have any idea if their other albums are worth checking out?

And speaking of thrash albums, I've also been getting into this lately:

Really good stuff, though unfortunately I feel like the album is somewhat marred by the production.

Listening to the Chemical Brothers "We Are The Night" now, and it's not nearly as bad as I imagined or read in reviews.... in fact it's actually shaping up as quite an enjoyable little electronica / dance album...

David Thomas Broughton - The Complete Guide to Insufficiency

Pulled this out tonight and remembered why I love it:

Camera Obscura - Biggest Bluest Hi Fi

If any of you are twee/folk/pop fans (or Belle and Sebastian fans) and you haven't heard Camera Obscura's album My Maudlin Career...you need to get on that. It is one of the best of last year. I heard it and decided their whole discography was worth checking out. This is their debut and right out of the gate they nail it. It is little too Belle and Sebastian inspired in some parts, but I'd say 3/4 of this album is pure gold.

Polygon Window (Aphex Twin)- Surfing on Sine Waves

Aphex Twin doing dance music? I approve.

I hadn't listened to Kreator in ages but funnily enough was listening to this one yesterday. I'll have to go through their albums again cause I was getting into it.

I have some Death Angel too but likewise, cant even remember the last time i listened to them. Might have to re-visit them too!

I've always known about Polygon Window, but never checked them out. I was always satisfied with his Aphex Twin stuff. Is he as good at this as he is at IDM?

Well, I've only heard this one polygon window album, but so far I think he's pretty good at dance music.

The best tracks are Quixote, Supremacy II, and Quoth, IMO.
