Camel - Mirage (1974)

I've really been expanding my prog rock collection in the last few weeks, but this is an album that really captivated me. After listening to this album I see who influenced Opeth's progressive elements.

Haha, naww, this is what started the argument with me and boo boo that resulted in his one month ban.

The big difference here is that I'm not boo boo and I'm not a prog head. I think I've listened to more progressive rock in the last two weeks than I have in my entire life, so I don't have that desire to defend a genre I barley know. What I liked about the album is it really showed where Opeth got their progressive influence. Opeth are one of my favourite bands so when I can make a connection like that it makes me appreciate what I'm listening to.

I've come to the conclusion from reading this thread over the years that 99% of all the music Pete owns has black or brown album covers

I definitely think I need to get into some older prog. I'm more familiar with the newer stuff, but my knowledge is a bit shallow with respect to the converse.

Best Steely Dan album, fact.

Only songs that aren't A++ are Pearl and Razor Boy.
