I'd recommend Red Medicine though by Fugazi. Probably their most experimental album and my favourite as well.
Yeah, my dad's pretty cool. His idea of Dad Rock is At The Drive-In and The Orb so obviously I'm going to listen to him. (And just in case if you didn't know, I'm a girl )

And I'll definitely get Red Medicine once a few of my other albums are done downloading.

At The Drive-In are immense but I still haven't checked out The Orb yet. They've been on my radar for ages now.
Also sorry, I just saw Dayvan Cowboy and assumed you were a boy haha.

Cool 13 Songs is another really good one to get. I'd usually say get that album next but seeing as how you like experimental music Red Medicine would probably be a better fit.

I absolutely love Fugazi though. In fact I did a presentation on Ian Mackaye back in the day for an English project.

I've been shopping for new eyeglasses and one of 3 frames I'm trying to decide between is called Mackaye, so it gets bonus points.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

is it creepy to say that I want to have Toby Driver's children? (even though he's 2.5 times my age...)

Trust-Elvis Costello
Very strong Squeeze influence, but Costello has enough of a distinctive personality to make this work on his terms as a pretty decent pop record that dosn't sound derivative.

Never listened to a Deftones album before, but I've heard good things about this one, and they seem to be correct. Any fans: let me know what other albums by them are good.
