I love this album. I have listened to it probably hundreds of times and it still feels amazing. Sigur Rós is always good for the soul.

Desert Rose Band - Desert Rose Band

^ Kinda like a more countryfied Traveling Wilburys to me, what with how it has three of my favouritest fellas ever to emerge from that field in the shape of Chris Hillman, John Jorgenson and Herb Pedersen. Their first and by far best album this.

Blind Guardian - At the Edge of Time (2010)

Yeah I like Blind Guardian, wanna fight about it?

The opening track is absolutely stellar and actually feels like a full symphonic contribution rather than just some bloke behind a keyboard. I kind of wished they had extended that style over a few other songs but if you can grow up and look beyond the fact that it's power metal, you'll find a well crafted, melodic, and beautifully produced album that reminds us that metal will always be a geek genre of music.

Fever Ray - Fever Ray

Hell yes! Why in the hell did I wait so long to get this? Oh I know, because when it first came out, I assumed it would be much different from The Knife, and the song I heard kind of confirmed that. But nah, this is closer to The Knife than I thought (at least the last album), and it's really great so far!

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

It sounds like a swedish girl with a lot of vocal effects put over her voice with new age synthy sounds all around it.

It's surprisingly good.

Do you have a fave song? My personal favorite is "Seven".

Just to stick my nose into something irrelevant to me, I'd like to add that my favourites are Dry and Dusty and Seven.

I just wanted to throw that out there.

It's open to all.

I can't remember which one Dry and Dusty is...may have to give this another listen real soon.

Don't have a favorite yet as it was my first listen, but I do remember liking the first 1/2 or 3/4 better than the remainder.

New age synthy sounds? Had it been described to me that way, I wouldn't have bothered.
