I can't really figure out why I like this album, but I'm on my third listen and I've completely fallen in love with it.

The cover art's a little frightening though.

I recently downloaded that album and it is wonderful. Not typically what I'm into, but I think it was poppy enough to catch my interest. Good stuff.

Here's some stuff I've been loving for a while now.

The Timebombs - I Belong In Hell

I haven't the slightest idea how this ended up on my computer, I think I downloaded something else and they had the wrong link. I was lucky though, Timebombs play some awesome dark, noisy hardcore. Very, very noisy.

Shed - The Traveller

Apparently this type of music is called post rave? To me it's like dance music, techno maybe, combined with Burial's atmosphere. Which I love, I've been looking for more stuff like Burial for a long time, and surprisingly I found it somewhere other than dubstep.

Mordant Music - SyMptoMs

I just can't get enough of this guy's music... His songs are very empty but for some reason completely intriguing to me.

The Super Friendz - Sticktoitiveness

Awesome 90's indie rock, Super Friendz seem all but forgotten nowadays. I don't know that I've ever actually heard anyone talk about them. I had forgotten them myself, but my mom had this one when I was a little kid for some reason, and I saw it and remembered loving it as a kid and had to get it. Now I can't believe I let it go for so long.

Post rave? Really?

I gotta listen to this one again, only played it once so far. Sounded mostly minimal techno to me. I hate the need people feel to come up with new genres just because an album may not fit perfectly within a pre-existing genre. Post rave...goddamn. You could probably apply that label to most not-too-dancey electronic music of the last 10 years - including all of IDM.

Yeah that's what it was described as where I found it, I thought that was funny because that's what it sounds like to me too. I guess it is minimal techno then, maybe I should check that out. I am really horribly lacking in my knowledge of electronic music

, but I know this has sort of the same dark atmospheric feel as Burial and I've been looking for that.

2 LPs I'm listening to quite a lot lately are Queen 1 and Marillion's 45RPM double happiness is the road.

2 totally different sounds but so well produced.

Nobody - And Everything Else...

Pure ****ing gold! I am trying to get into more styles of music, so I decided to check out these guys. I actually first heard one of their songs on "Super High Me", I'm definitely going to check their other stuff out. Don't really know what genre they are though.

I listened to this once before a few months ago and though it was REALLY boring. For some reason I felt like listening to it last night . I gotta say my opinion of it has vastly improved. I'm still not completely in love with the ambient songs on here, but this is a really great Indie-Pop record.

I've been getting into the more ambient dubstep recently. I do find it a little hard to keep calling this stuff dubstep since one of the style's main themes is danceability, but it's really good regardless.

Burial - Untrue
Ambient and catchy all at the same time. I can see why this one got such high marks when it was first released.

Liquid Stranger - The Intergalactic Slapstick
Incorporates plenty of dub, so I guess this one kind of deserves to be called dubstep.
