The Blue Nile - Hats (1989)
I can't get enough of this album at the moment. It's just a damn good album that sounds truly moving and beautiful, especially really late at night. The nice ambient production sounds great and the music frames frontman Paul Buchanan's melancholic vocals perfectly.

Rhodes - EP

I like it a lot. I mean it.

I really like the artwork for that. What's the genre?

I originally heard it on a huge Top Shelf Records sampler, who I think mainly deal with Emo and Screamo. If you click the link you can get it for free. The tags read:

I'm not all that great at naming genres. Especially this, since it's something I don't know a hell of a lot about. What initially drew me to it was the resemblance to another artist I've enjoyed lately: The Earth is a Man.

Really solid Emo jams akin to Mineral, American Football, Sunny Day Real Estate. I especially like the last two songs.

****ing god this is good. I think I like this better than Little and I absolutely loved that. I'm gonna listen to this for a while and then get the next Chestnutt album.

Pentagram - Relentless

So many good riffs. Not quite as good as the album that followed, but still excellent.

I can't get over how good this album is, it's easily one of my favorite jazz albums of all time. The way the group plays together is so organic, so human; it's completely sublime. This is definitely not just a Bill Evans album, but a Bill Evans Trio album.

Holy crap. Was listening to this last night, it was my first listen. Ever.

It was... sublime. That's the only way I can put it. So. Freaking. Good. Will definitely be keeping this on my frequent play list.

Listened to this the other day, as well as their album "Abandoned Language," while playing Team Fortress 2. Both were awesome, and great fightin' music. Great combination of dirty, distorted industrial beats, dreamy My Bloody Valentine guitar riffs, some really cool samples from all over the frickin' place, and wonderful rhymes. Thanks to the people around here who pointed me to these guys!

If you haven't heard their album Dopersmoker yet I highly recommend it.
