Lindsey Buckingham - Out of the Cradle

I'm convinced he's the king of soft rock, what with this album, Rumours, and Tusk

The American Dollar - The Technicolour Sleep (2007)

Got this because of its similarity to other projects I enjoyed (Hammock, Arms and Sleepers, Helios, Lights Out Asia). It fails to disappoint...just ambient post-rock that explores dynamic breaks between droney elements. An absolute eargasm.

Torche, Songs For Singles

This is an album that sits somewhere between slude metal and pop punk. Yes, really. And no, I didn't check this out because Pitchfork was going crazy about it. I just realized that. :p

Anyway, check it out. It's the dang catchiest sludge metal I have ever heard.

Yet another band Justin Broadrick was involved with and I forgot how damn good this is. Imagine a less heavy Godflesh with John Zorn esque Jazz work (he was involved with them too). If you like Naked City and/or Godfelsh then you will love this.

Menace Ruine - The Die is Cast

Amazing drone doom album, the textures, psychedelic tones and layers combined melt your head down to a stump. Some really nice melodic work on this too.

Aye, that's good album! Didn't I send that to you a couple years ago? If you're enjoying God, I have another band you might like: Combat Astronomy. I got one of their albums, Flak Planet, over the summer and thought it was pretty good. Here's one of the tracks from it:
