I haven't listened to Baths before, except the tracks Milo used. Feel free to post some links to his best work

Milo's voice and lyrics fit the production very well. Hope you'll enjoy it!

The point of this thread is to tell us WHY you're digging them.

Okay.

"From the Ground Up" by John Fullbright. I suppose it's a combination of the songwriting and Fullbright's bluesy, country-swamp voice that's drawn me to this album. The keyboard based songs remind me favorably of Randy Newman while the guitar numbers evoke Guy Clark. Comparisons aside, the album has stuck with me long after it ends.

Purling Hiss "Water On Mars". Enjoying this mostly because of the much improved songwriting (though I know someone who hates the album for this very reason). Also, the second track, "Mercury Retrograde", has become a welcome earworm.

Todd Rundgren - Liars (2004)

I've been a hardcore Rundgren fan since before I could tie my own shoes, but this album really is something special even for him. Blending rave friendly electronica, trip-hop and his trademark approach to soul-oriented pop into something resembling cohesion is one hell of a feat, but he pulls it off with flying colors.

Rundgren doing electronica??? This sounds insane. Is it truly worth a casual 70's Rundgren fan?

There's a couple of realllllly good cuts on Liars that would appeal even to a casual Rundgren fan, so its worth a gander methinks.

"Sons of the East" are a new folky trio from Sydney. playing mumford and son's style of music with piercing vocals and great instrument combinations. definitely worth a listen
