It's been on repeat for the past two days, I can't get enough of these emo lyrics and E street band arrangements.

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels (2013)

It's been a long wait but I may finally have my first great album of 2013 instead of just okay to pretty good. Takes the great sci-fi beats from Cancer 4 Cure but with the unavoidable headnodding of R.A.P. Music and some absolutely amazing chemistry and word play all in one thirty minute masterpiece.

The Maine - Forever Halloween (2013)

Once a bunch of pop rock faggots who made the worst kind of music, The Maine got dropped/left their label and struck out on their own, and what a transformation!
The people of Sputnikmusic were singing this albums praises and I didn't believe it until I actually listened.
Insanely infectious melodies and choruses as well as some genuinely written heart felt tracks. Just a great mix and proof that one shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
Already making moves in my 2013 Top 10 and in my opinion this has been one of the best starts to any year of music.

I genuinely think this will end up being one of my all time favorite albums.

Kurt Vile - Wakin on a Pretty Daze (2013)
Still digging this a lot. Some songs are a bit longer than they need to be, but the fact that I really liked the album from the get-go and I still enjoy it after many spins - despite its length - is a testament to its greatness.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

O'Death - Outside (2011)

I know I've posted this album in here before but I really can't get enough of it and did not give it the respect it deserved back in 2011 when it came out. It's a lot more subdued from their last two albums which is both a good and bad thing. While it's a more straightforward folk album from their previous works that were more frantic and chaotic, this allows for some very soothing melodies coupled with some great introspective lyrics and the chance to expand upon their musicianship.

If you're a fan of Bonnie 'Prince' Billy or the like I think you'll get quite a bit out of this album.
