One hearty recommendation for Sun Kil Moon's Ghosts of the Great Highway. Fantastic album.

I'm enjoying the poop out of Cloudkicker's discography. He's a one man show mainly doing things in the prog-metal/post-rock niche. It's all very melodic and well-produced. For fans of Isis, Pelican, etc

From his latest, post-rock-y release, Fade.

From an earlier, djent-y release, beacons.

Definitely. And if anyone wants more Kozelek, I recommend going back to Red House Painters. The guy has not aged well and his music shows it.

Nice. That reminds me of when the stuff was fresh.

I think I've hyped this before but I'm re-digging Gravenhurst's 'Fires in Distant Buildings'
Warp knows quality.

Cardiacs - The Seaside

Goddammit, I love this band. They should probably have their own genre all to themselves. Almost as good as On Land and In the Sea. Still mental.

Weasel Walter - Early Recordings 1988-1991

Awesome heavy free-form jazz shit right here. All about the place.

Cloudkicker is amazing. I've been happy with every one of his releases from the beginning. His work under his name B.M. Sharp is alright too if not a bit more melodic.

Julee Cruise - Floating Into the Night

Somehow I only heard of this album recently. Absolutely amazing stuff. I can totally understand why David Lynch chose a few tracks to soundtrack Twin Peaks. (and I didn't know before listening, so that was a nice surprise)

Post/art punk/prog rock. Reedy British shouting. Absolutely spastic, with constant time/key changes and a myriad of instruments. And seriously great melody.

I'd recommend On Land and In the Sea before The Seaside though.

Kendrick Lamar's Section. 80 and Good Kid Maad city

both fantastic hip hop albums. It's only a matter of time till Black Hippy make a full length album.

I don't like any other member of Black Hippy to be honest. Absolutely love Section.80 though.
