I knew the bit about humidity sounds familiar, we're practically neighbors: I'm a Montrealer. We probably have it even worse in the summer and it's only ever going to get worse in the coming years.

Sacré bleu! I'll be in town for Roger Waters, followed by the Rogers cup. Jarry park is so nice, but there is so little shade. My friends and I somehow found stadium seats in the shade. Vive la différence!

Roger must be performing at the Bell center?

Yeah Parc Jarry that's my hood, I grew up in Villeray. My favorite gym was on The Main overlooking it.

Yeah, air con's a luxury that virtually nowhere has in this country as well. And I'm inland, so that's some very humid stuff going on there. Also, I work next to a steel furnace, so it was more like 40-45 celsius some parts of the factory floor. Not fun, but bearable!

And I seriously think this right here is one of the Manics' best works. I love this album. It's basically the last good one they did, if you ask me.

He is indeed. I was thinking of checking out Osheaga this year. I decided to pass. I went a bunch of years back when I considered standing for eight hours in 30 degree heat worthwhile. I also don't recognize a lot of acts on the bill.

You win! As for the Manics, I need to check out their stuff. I have a best of, and that's it.

I posted the lineup here to see if I'm missing something... checked YT for some of the names I don't know and turned out they're all hideous. Elph was right

And even the one artist I kinda have a positive opinion on, Caribou, is not someone I, as you said, would consider standing for eight hours in 30 degree heat to see...

There was a time when I went every year, at least three/four years running.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great festival. I have tons of memories, from the officials pulling the plug on the Cure's set because they went past 11pm (noise bylaw), to seeing Explosions in the Sky for the first time. The venue is nice, even if it doesn't have a ton of shade, and it's easily accessible by the metro.

It's well organized too. I loved their idea of putting two stages together. One stage is being set up while the other is in use.

I've just reached the age where I don't have the stamina to go for that long.
