The Gerogerigegege - Instruments Disorder

Quite possibly my top album ever these days... if any of you have an interest in harsh noise / noisecore type stuff I highly recommend this. The biggest emotional release I've ever heard. Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins, Koenjihyakkei, etc) is on drums as a bonus, and they basically sound like fire crackers exploding in a can.

A really stark album, beautifully stark. His voice sounds like he's on the verge of mental collapse, and on the best tracks he makes the listener wait for each chord. I love that anticipation.

One of my favorite tracks:

Saltillo - Ganglion

Well bugger me sideways - this album's pretty good. Great even. Top drawer trip-hop with a modern classical slant to it, and one of the best night-time albums I've heard in quite some time. I've been doing a lot of work towards varying projects lately, and this is just the perfect musical backdrop for all that sitting around, scribbling notes down and then nitpicking them like there's no tomorrow, and various other crap.

Anyway, have a video;

It's an amazing album. Unfortunately, it undeservedly takes a backseat to the Superfly soundtrack.

Looking forward to hearing Superfly and others soon. I'll go chronologically.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

That is a good album. I'm not even a huige fan of his but I had a Neil Young day myself. I've been listening to his latest, Le Noise, on repeat for hours.

The Moon - Without Earth (1968)

Bloody fantastic psych/baroque pop album no one seems to know of. Been some time since I listened to it. I'm on a huge 60s psych pop kick these last few weeks so I've been digging them all out.
