Music can be (and often is) irrevocably tied to moments we can't control.

I fell in love while Miley Cyrus's "See You Again" was playing, and still can't listen to that song without sobbing.

I don't like the song, I don't like the artist, but I fell completely and desperately in love while it was playing at a club as I danced with my then girlfriend, and realized she was exactly who I needed in my life.

I don't apologize for the song sucking. I don't apologize for anything. It happened, and I was completely head over heels.

Of the ballads by lower-level artists in the last 10-20 years, that is one of the best. Beautiful vocals and interesting lyrics.

I truly believe that the greatest lovesongs ever written are that of the heartbreak songs, how ironic is that? I love Adele's Someone like you and Don't You Remember. There something in the song that will make you feel sad which you can not tell or determine if it is the melody, the lyrics or the powerful voice of Adelle.

"Someone to Watch Over Me" by Gershwin probably does it for me. Moving a bit forward: "What it Takes" by Aerosmith and "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead are great heartbreak lovesongs.
