"Your Own Special Way" by Genesis is its own cryptic little love tale,b which I enjoy immensely.
Some of Neil Finn's love songs are just amazing and otherworldly wonderful... I am thinking of such stellar tracks as Fall At Your Feet, Message to My Girl, Private Universe, Try Whistling This.... and the list just goes on...

Just got listening to "You're So Great" by Blur and it struck me, what wonderfully subtle great love song, its quite gorgeous in the same way REM's "Be Mine" is lyrically... although both songs are markedly different musically...

Lady Helen by Devin Townsend comes to mind as a gorgeous love song with a really moving melody... its a fave of mine at the moment...

Hey! What a great song... always loved that one... takes me back to riding to school in my parents car listening to my favorite Dire Straits compilation tape...
