I never really limit myself to a genre, but regardless of genre that was pretty awful.

Remember, genre doesn't define whether a band is **** or not, so if your favourite band is ****, don't fall back on the fact that it falls into an incredibly overrated and popular genre that some people find pointless.

Don't listen to jackhammer, that's hardly the song to start with. Try this:

If he didn't like the Magic Position he's not going to like whatever you linked him to. I don't think he'd like any Patrick Wolf.

Why? It's hardly representative of his style on the first two albums.

I don't think it's his thing. I have a feeling being a male he'll hate the video itself too. Also what would be the representative style on his first two albums? They only thing they have in common is their darker. Wind in the Wires is an orchestrated folk album and Lycanthropy is impossible to pigeon hole.

Sorry but I don't think you're gonna convert me, although I can understand why people would like that song a lot more than people would like the first... thing.

But I don't like the music, the way those particular instruments are recorded, the vocals and the lyrics. So yeah, pretty much not gonna get me into it.

Don't listen to me. Pmsl. Quite right too. I don't know everything but Ethan understood the mentality of my post.
