The whole UK counter culture thing with psychadelia in the late 60s was just as underground , anti establishment & radical as punk was.
And quite a few of the people involved in it were responsable for punk too. In the same way that a lot of people involved in punk were involved with Acid House in the 80s.
The two bands are a lot more closely linked than you may well believe.

IDK much about 60's counter cultrue in the U.K. being from America with San Fransico and all.

Well I don't know much about it with , y'know not being born then.

I find books , documentaries & interviews with the people involved a great help in that respect
