I definitely agree the Beatles are overrated...went with Nirvana, and I still totally appreciate and realize everything the Beatles have done for rock music but I believe Nirvana was better and more enjoyable to listen too

Nirvana simplified=

Pixies+Black Sabbath+Black Flag=Nirvana.

Beatles simplified=

Rock n roll +....ermm....ermm...themselves?=Beatles.

So you admit that those three (admittedly) great bands created Nirvana yet The Beatles only had Rock n Roll to build their sound upon.

The Beatles were more of a pop band...but I will admit I don't own any records and have only heard one Beatles song, so I can't say much about them.
