Default Road Trip Music
My friend's folk band will be on tour and I'm hitting the road with them. I will be traveling in a Hippy Van from Coast to Coast. I need road trip music in my iPod.


What did you listen to during your road trip??? I am unemployed right now so I have a lot of time to surf the internet and see if I like the band recommended.

Ive been scouring for new albums to enjoy for a few weeks and haven't turned up much... Some of my favorite bands are Animal Collective (incl solo Panda Bear and Avey Tare), The Knife, Crystal Castles, Caribou, Aphex Twin (ambient), Royksopp, Francois Virot. I really like super unique stuff that is listenable for an entire albumn.

You have awesome taste, first of all.

I'd suggest checking out Black Moth Super Rainbow, if you haven't already. Their music has that spacey, electronic feel I think you might be into.. or better yet get one of Tobacco's solo albums.. he's pretty much carried the band from the beginning from what I've read. Loathsome Pete sent me Fucked Up Friends and I've been enjoying it immensely.

Ben Folds Five are one of my favourite bands of all time. I've gone a bit off him since he's gone solo. but these older songs are ESSENTIAL -

if fun/ piano-based/ catchy isn't your thing then maybe give it a miss. it certainly borders of cheesy a bit but it's possibly the happiest music you will ever hear.

the self titled album is my favourite. whatever and eve amen has some classics too...

ooo yeah and silver street which is on the live album.
