^^for the Melvins, my faves are Lysol, Bullhead and Stoner Witch

most people will tell you to start with "Houdini", but if you can put up with the unnecessary 10-minute percussion piece finale "Spread-Eagled Beagle"

i don't listen to Tad

Define etc. Do you mean it in the actual sense of the word or do you mean the Thai pop group?
I really hope that you mean the former.

Check out Purplene, Owen, Owls, The Promise Ring, Joan of Arc & This Town Needs Guns.
I think you'd enjoy the self-titled albums of the first three bands, The Promise Ring's 'Nothing Feels Good' and anything by This Town Needs Guns, although they've only released one full length album which is entitled 'Animals'

Wanna Come Back to My Room and Listen to Some Belle & Sebastion is one of the finest songs I've ever heard.

Looking for some politically charged stuff? Mostly along the lines of Flogging Molly's Speed of Darkness. Recommendations?

Could someone send me some funky ass soul that's "underground", or at least not super popular?
