I'm looking for some angst-ridden music of pretty much any variety of rock. I already love:
The Replacements
smashing pumpkins
titus andronicus
Dinosaur jr
NIN (not entirely rock, but whatever)

The Smiths and The Cure are quite melancholic. Early Cure epitimosie tortured poet syndrome. Nirvana and Tool also have alot of angst attached, granted they can be a bit on the whiny side. Galaxie 500 also have a subdued, gloomy tone, and Joy Division supply some hopeless tales of nihilism.

Just thought I'd send him something mellow since it'd fit the criteria. And I guess he basically dug it, lol.
Well I just found the song to be completely unrelated to anything Minus the Bear has ever done.

Wait, so you found out, as in someone told you and affected your opinion, or you just stopped liking their sound on your own?

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

I need something with piano. Some slow, emotive piano. In fact, it should be mostly piano...and not jazz piano. Any suggestions?

Thanks! They were both good but the second one is just what I'm looking for. Any more suggestions are much appreciated.

There's a group I know called Abandoned Toys that might be up your alley. As far as I know their only album is their 2008 release Witches Garden which features mostly classical piano.
