I still like Linkin Park. Don't hate Nickelback or Slipknot. Occasionally find time to enjoy System of a Down.

In general, I'm ambivalent towards Post Grunge and Nu Metal as a whole, not really feeling strongly about them in either direction. (While it seems the rest of the musically literate internet hates them both )
I like SOAD and Slipknot.

That's awesome, I like them too, but it just seems like a rite of passage into snobbish music elitism to say things like:

I'm not sure that I have any. I could embarrass myself by admitting to music I used to love, but I don't enjoy it anymore, and it was a part of the natural growth process, in which there is no shame.

I never really got into Linkin Park, but I used to like Slipknot. In all honesty, I liked the heavier parts in slipknot songs, and I was always sort of bummed out they had to include whiny vocals in between the heavy parts. It's not like I don't see the point of it, contrast and all, but it felt kind of forced and a bit gimmicky.

I still like the first two SOAD albums. Compared to a lot of alternative metal/nu-metal that was around a decade ago the early SOAD albums still stand up pretty well.

I never really liked Slipknot though, I always saw their masks as a gimmick to make up for their uninteresting music.

i have no shame in saying i still like slipknot.
if its socially acceptable to listen to nicki minaj on here than there shouldn't be any stigma about listening to slipknot.
