The Durutti Column - Sketch for summer.
Probably their most famous song, first heard it on Double Jay radio station in Australia, Mac Cocker played it quite a lot. Bit of trivia Mac Cocker is Jarvis Cockers old man.

Durutti Column is one of the many "alternative" groups I learned about years ago from The Offense (later The Offense Newsletter) fanzine (remember those, veteran music fans?) out of Columbus, Ohio. Thanks for mentioning them, jah of jimmy, and welcome to the board.

I don't love Franz Ferdinand but I do usually like them and their new one is no exception.

The greatest bass player that ever lived

His groove is uncanny, his style so spectacularly unique, his solos on point
