Love this album so much, but my iPod plays the two splits in the wrong order. Doesn't really matter though.

Best Coast - Last Year

I haven't listened to them in a few years, so I was looking forward to listening to the new album... it is fine...but I miss the fun, fuzzy, upbeat happiness of their early EP's and their debut album. This one sounds too polished, too alt-country. Bring back the surf pop!

A lot of Music Machine and '69-'72 Sean Bonniwell.

A lot of MM stuff is around, but the singer's 1969 solo album (released under the initials+last name of his full name) remains very rare. This is the only You Tube clip I have seen of anything from that album. Reportedly, it was mainly distributed through the West Coast with a small run.

RIP, Sean.

The Alan Parsons Project who I have never checked out for one reason or another. Now I know why. It's all rather dull really and nothing I haven't heard before by bands far better.
