I have to admit I had to read the comments on the YouTube video to understand what I just listened to.

("...yay, I'm getting nearer to 16posts now..." voiced the euphoric goblin listening to giacomo puccini's o mio babbino caro, adding "...who cares about other people's concerns where this life is not twice, and where this night is still young between us...")

("...well first, to get me into the swing to things I'm listening laus tibi domine by peste noire to prepare myself for my visit to the troll's forum, then it'll be dangerous curves by king crinsom when on the writer's forum, after which it'll be place your hands by reef on the christian's forum, and finally it's the theme from coronation street by eric spear when I return here I suppose, so wish me luck now mortals, yes it's not easy being one such as I, but I do try at least to brighten up your day at least..." ventured the goblin to his friends once more)

Oh God, I love that album so much. The acoustic parts in Printemps Emeraude, and that whole album really, are sublime. I like the direction Alcest went in these last few years, but I do wish they had kept those acoustic guitar bits. Neige is great at the densely textured stuff that he does now, but I think his compositional skills really shine when there's those simple and gorgeous acoustic melodies contrasted with that scratchy electric sound.

Sorry for the mini-rant in response to an off-hand comment, I just forgot how much I loved this album.

Oh my goodness. The look on that drummer's face is mesmerizing.
