Yeah, while I'm not much of a pop guy generally, I have a soft spot for some 80's pop. There's some really great stuff, such as Thriller. Jackson was a really excellent songwriter.

My name is Prince and I am funky
My name is Prince the one and only
I did not come to funk around
'Tll I get your daughter I won't leave this town

In the beginning God made the sea
But on the seventh day he made me
He was tryin' to rest y'all when He heard the sound
Sound like a guitar cold gettin' down
I tried to bust a high note, but I bust a string
My God was worried 'til he heard me sing

lol I didn't say he was a great lyricist, but the songwriting itself is good.

Those were Prince lyrics and I meant to use them to prove why Prince was better than MJ

Prince had both a huge ego and a sense of humor. MJ just had the ego.
I personally like Prince better, but some of Jackson's singles were great.
