The last decent band I heard was Oranssis Pazuzu, not that I listen to metal any more, they are experimental, though, I guess, an experimental band. That and Elder, they are good too if you like heavy and melodic music. I heard both of those on the radio. When I make my own selection of what music I want to listen to, it's generally jazz, I've recently been spinning a lot of John Scofield on vinyl, I have four of his records.
