Good to see Seth Ford-Young’s Phi-Psonics project signed to Gondwana.
Originally self-released on vinyl, but remastered with extras as well as
new artwork celebrating this fine spiritual jazz release.

Seth Ford-Young: bass
Sylvain Carton: woodwinds
Mitchell Yoshida: electric piano
Josh Collazo: drums.

I guess what I meant to say was that post rock is great when you find the right post rock. Explosions are top of the totem pole to many post rock fans and I just really fell off that train a long time ago.

You ever hear of the band Ganger? They had a really cool one in 1997 that not a lot of people talk about. Krautrock inspired too but certainly post rock in essence.

I know Ganger's Hammock Style, but I've never heard Explosions...,
so I don't know what the "trends" were (or are now in many cases).

... but, yeah, in any of thousands of genres some bands or people
do what they do really well and some don't. As for notoriety, that's
something that you and I both know is no indication of whether
something sounds good or not. I just think that genre pissing [not you]
(and then calling it "pretentious" even when it doesn't make sense -
especially semantically) is just another form of lazy ass thinking.

Anyway, some old Mexican psych...

plus, Ima gonna add this track that's a bit of refreshing Tjaderade on a hot afternoon from
Mo' "El Gringo Starr" Green y su Conjunto Jazzylatino

Iceland has been re-released again this year
and it's wonderful to revisit it again. This, and
Chronolyse were two albums that I'd immerse
myself in during the late 70s. They were part
of my late-night "bedroom" albums of delight.

Okay I'll stop reading then.
