How does it work though? Do you get emailed/PMed or do you have to keep checking this thread? Keeping my mighty journal running at its typical peak of efficiency and interest takes all my attention (so what are you doing posting here --- can someone get that spooky voice out of my head please?) so checking here each time might not be possible.

Oh, and is the idea to try to stick to something each member is known to like, or at least tolerate, or push the envelope? If the latter, anyone who sends me a boyband album will get a virus in their mailbox! I've been subjected to an almost lethal dose of that sort of music over the last few months, and I'm not even sure there's a cure!

I'm currently on an intravenous drip of Marillion, and they say I'm showing signs of improvement, but not out of the woods yet....

Typically I both PM and post the pairs here once they're chosen. I don't think anybody sends out albums here with the intent to irritate their partner either. You should be in the clear.

i've always chatted in pm with my partner and kind of asked them what they may be interested in and or if i've posted something that they thought they may like or if there was a specific genre they might be interested in....in my opinion it can be a nice way to introduce something new to somebody while trying to appeal to their general musical preference
