Talking to the girl you used to love of her depressive drunken ramblings, her future on the verge of collapse, and your only wish is to ease the pain and heal all of the hurts.

Thanks to Sunn O))) & Boris for giving me some sort of soundtrack to these melancholy ventures.

Nostalgic. I'm back at home for the weekend and saw some friends I grew up with but who I've since grown apart from. This song also has the dual-meaning of boredom to me, which is what I think of when thinking about "the suburbs".

A future can't collapse unless you kill (or are in the process of killing) yourself, in my opinion.

what I think he meant by future on the verge of collapsing is some future goal/dream that isn't going to be able to happen because of a consequence in the present.

I feel the same way when I come back from college to my mom's place. What part of the lyrics makes you identify both ways?

Finished a pre-bed/sleep-aid cannabis bowl and this song sums up my feelings right now I'd say.
