Except for the art that you endorse on here.

I'm not big into art, but Fitzpatrick is recognised as one of the most important artists working on Irish mythology, and his work is similar to the illuminations produced by monks back in the last millennium, so up yours. You might not like the cover, and that's your privilege, but you can't say it isn't well painted, because the respect Fitzpatrick has in the art community ****s all over your amateur opinion.
Who cares how revered he is? That's nothing to do with the quality of the work. I find it really cheesy and uninteresting. I might not even say that it's well painted given that it looks like it was taken from a colouring book.

I have some experience drawing and own several artbooks with paintings and pencil drawings. No expert in any way whatsoever, but I'd say the guy has good technique and an idiosyncratic style. I like his line work and coloring a lot, especially on the biggest picture on the previous page. The one with the viking and the woman.

For a bit of context on my (good? bad?) tastes in art, here's my favorite painter and favorite pencil/comic artist respectively:

Tamara De Lempicka

Enki Bilal

Right, right. Cause his peers would rate his work even if it was crap. Got it. So these guys, Picasso, Caravaggio, Holbine, they're all just hacks, right? Give me a break. As for the unbolded bit, well, as you know, opinions are like assholes: everyone has one, but some are shittier than others.

If you think his peers are hacks, that's another conversation. My point that popularity is irrelevant when determining quality still stands.

The fact that you like Marillion is proof that your opinion of them is garbage.

I'm sure there's a lot of competition in that microgenre.

So he's unoriginal by a thousand years as well?

I think this one is decent, honestly. It's a pretty good choice of location. The rusty fence and withered plants look good.

It makes what I'm assuming is a ****ty boyband look like a 60s garage band, so I guess it actually is better than it looks at first.
