Does nobody think that Nazareth deserve a mention?
This flight tonight is an awsome track.

I love Franz Ferdinand.

The Proclaimers get an honourable mention from me as well. "I'm Gonna Be 500 Miles" is one of my favourite songs!

I quite like them, but not a chance.

My vote here is for Mogwai.

You should check out the likes of Big Country & Spear Of Destiny. John Martyn is also a very worthy inclusion & my highest ranking amongst scottish artists.

Shop Assistants.

John Martyn is excluded because he was English born.

Bunch of bands I love on that list (Jesus and Mary Chain, Belle and Sebastian, Primal Scream, Orange Juice, Boards Of Canada) but I ended up voting for Teenage Fanclub mostly because as of now I'm obsessed with Bandwagonesque.

I didnt actually notice that. I read up on his wiki & it doesnt say where his parents were from though.

"Martyn was born in New Malden, Surrey, England.[2] Martyn's parents, both opera singers, divorced when he was five and he spent his childhood alternating between England and Scotland. Much of this was spent in the care of his grandmother. His strongest ties were in Glasgow, and he attended Shawlands Academy there."
