Ive actually not heard Belle & Sebastian myself yet, but included them as I know a lot of other people like them. Also why do people keep going on about 'indie sh*t'. Its not sh*t, just because its blander than other types of music that all the progheads etc listen to. I grew up listening to Indie, The Stone Roses & Oasis were pretty much the two first bands I got into. I dont listen to a lot of Indie nowadays but still have a liking for it. I pride myself on being open to a wide range of different genres & subgenres.
Anyway what about Idlewild?

Out of that lot, Primal Scream get my vote.

Aztec Camera, Josef K, Orange Juice and the Fire Engines are well worth checking out if you haven't already. Classic Scottish post-punk there (except Aztec Camera - they're a bit more power pop than post-punk... kinda).

Yeah, I like Primal Scream but see them as another one of these inconsistent bands, much like the way I view the Foo Fighters (although PS are way better). Thanks for the bands man Ill check them out when time permits.

I'm not surprised at all.
I predicted it was either going to come down to Primal Scream, or Jesus And Mary Chain.

John Martyn was my pick

Honorable Mention: Primal Scream, The Proclaimers, J&M Chain and Stealers Wheel (Which I'd never have considered a band of Scots.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

That wasn't suppose to be a sleight against indie, at all. Most of the music I listen to is considered indie.
