That's too bad, I was really hoping for some descent post-Blood Brothers work to come along eventually. Jaguar Love's last album was pretty awful too, aside from a track.

lead single from this album was fantastic but the rest was bland. I was really disappointed. I feel like I could find something to like about it but its just really boring to me and I don't feel like giving it any more of my time

I thought this was going to be great. It's the New Pornographers without Dan Bejar's songs! That has to be good!

It's actually pretty dull. Sort of like a New Pornographers B-sides album and not enough Neko Case.

Woah Dan Bejar definitely makes the New Pornographers, I love his contributions, they are a lot better than AC Newman's stuff.
But I agree, that album just isn't that good.

I agree, Bejar is far better than Newman imo. One of the best lyricists of the last decade.

I dislike Bejar's songs, and they're literally the only songs on any New Pornographers album that I feel negatively for. Similarly, I have not yet enjoyed a Destroyer album.

I like A.C.'s first album quite a bit. Better than any New Pornographers album I've heard. Get Guilty was a bit more dull, indeed, but still ok.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
