The Black Queen - Fever Daydream

I thought this was gonna be right up my alley, but I hated it from the first track onward. Really manufactured, try-hard sounding synthpop.

EDIT: Severely over-produced. Did not improve towards the end.

It's not the same as a lot of work being put into it, it's more when the production becomes so overzealous that it robs the music of its soul.

I suppose I would count Good Kid Mad City as one, in that it was produced in the first place.

Yup. I'll add Pink Floyd (as much as I like DSOTM it's overproduced), Queen, Evanescence, and all of the symphonic metal bands.
